Our 2013 Christmas Appeal and Christmas Challenge - 6th, 7th, 8th December 2013

Our Annual Christmas Appeal

There are many kind people who think about giving to those in a less fortunate position than themselves at Christmas. Each year Mango Tree Goa holds a Christmas Appeal which runs from 25th November to 6th January. We hope our appeal will hold a special place in the hearts of those who wish to give disadvantaged children in Goa a brighter future and that supporters will add Mango Tree to their Christmas present list this year.

Our Christmas Challenge - Double Your Donation on 6th, 7th and 8th December

This year our supporters will also have an amazing opportunity to double their donation or proceeds from a fundraiser simply by taking part in our Christmas Challenge from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December. The chance to double the amount donated or raised has been made possible by a pool of funds promised by a group of supporters who together have pledged £1,500 IF other supporters donate or raise an equivalent sum during the 3 days. Quite simply, if you give £10 there’s a good chance we’ll receive £20. In fact with Gift Aid added a £5 donation could be worth £12.50, a £10 donation could be worth £25, a £50 donation could be worth £125. It really is an opportunity not to be missed.

So What’s The Challenge?

Our Challenge to you is to help turn the £1.500 pledged into a donation of £1,500 by either making a donation or doing a fundraiser during the 6th, 7th or 8th of December. We appreciate everything which we are given. Please don’t leave it to someone else or think what you could give wouldn’t be worth it. We have given some examples of what your donation could buy opposite. No amount is too small – just £2 given during the Christmas Challenge could be turned into £5 which could buy a uniform, a couple of pairs of rainy sandals or feed a child for a month.

How to Take Part in the Challenge

If you are giving your own funds then simply make a donation during the 72 hours making up the 6th, 7th and 8th December in your country. The easiest way to do this is to hit the Donate button above but you can always make a direct payment into our bank, pop into Mango House or give us a cheque. Alternatively, if you conduct a fundraiser on any of those days please let us know what you did and when and then pay over the funds as soon as possible after the Challenge Weekend. Please note only funds paid over within 14 days of the Challenge Weekend with accompanying information which states that the funds were raised on 6th, 7th or 8th December can be used to match to the pool of pledges.
