Fundraisers play a vital role in making life
better for disadvantaged children. Not only
do they raise money but they spread the word
about what we do too. There are many ways to
fundraise for us. We have listed a few below
and you can
click here to read our A-Z of
fundraising ideas. We’ve featured some
fundraising stories too and you can click on
the Latest News button to see what
fundraisers have done recently. Do email us
and let us know what you are planning to do.
Get Sponsored
Sponsored activities
are always a great way to fundraise. Pretty
much anything goes from a sponsored silence
or giving up sweets and chocolates for
younger ones to the extremes of a shaved
head or a parachute jump. Don’t forget to
ask us for a special sponsorship form which
means we will be able to collect an
additional 25% in Gift Aid on your
sponsors’ payments without it costing them a
penny.
Organise an Event
Again anything goes – some of the
simplest include cake stalls, dress down
day, party, coffee morning, cheese and wine
party and quiz or theme night.
Personal Fundraising
Supporters can raise funds by asking for
a donation to Mango Tree Goa in lieu of
Christmas, Birthday or Anniversary presents.
This can be done by asking people to make a
donation directly or by setting up a
fundraising page on Virgin (see below).
Take Part in a Challenge
If you are up for a challenge then take
your pick - you could take part in a
marathon, skydive, cycle from London to
Paris or abseil to name a few
Set up an Online Page
You can easily fundraise online with Just
Giving. Simply go to https://www.justgiving.com/create-page
and choose “Yes I’m Fundraising for a
Charity” and you will be guided through the
process. Let people know what you are doing
and why, set a target, email the link to
everyone you know, share it on Facebook and
then watch the donations grow. Every donor
who gives via your webpage will
automatically receive a thank you from the
Charity to let them know that their donation
really will make a difference.
Employer's Matched Giving Schemes
Some employers run
matched giving schemes. If you are
considering fundraising check with them –
they may consider matching whatever you
raise! |
